Today was definitely better than yesterday, with several great calls however my main picks were less than I'd hoped.
So here's how it looked:
Minnesota @ Kansas City - Kansas City(-149) to WIN
KC let this one get by, even though the batting was similar, we had a situation where more batters were left on base for Kansas than you had for Minnesota. With a high man left on base %, Kansas just couldn't get the guys to come home. This one was a missed call.
Decision: Minnesota Wins
Washington @ Arizona - Arizona(-164) to WIN
With only 3 hits for the day Collmenter did a great job just like I knew he would, 0 runs for the other team, thats just the way I like my wins. This one was a spot on call.
Decision: Arizona Wins
Tampa Bay @ Seattle - Seattle(-124) to WIN
4-4 Hits, and yet Seattle pulled away with a 7-0 win, again like the Arizona game I love 0 runs for the other team, really makes it relaxing to watch the game. Vargas just did much better than Sonnanstine and luckily we had the runs already so the fact that the other 3 pitchers Tampa sent out had 0 hits against them really didn't matter.
Decision: Seattle Wins
The Espresso DOUBLE LONG SHOT of the day
------------------------------------------
Toronto @ Baltimore - Toronto(+123) to WIN
A great long shot call, it's always tough to call the Blue Jays to win, because you really never know when the defense for Toronto is going to falter. However, this evening it held strong and the Jays managed to hold on to an 7-2 lead to end with 7-4.
Decision: Toronto Wins
Detroit @ Chicago - Detroit(+123) to WIN
The other longshot call was not so lucky, Andy Oliver has very few games (Just 2) this season and I wasn't really sure how well it was going to go. It didn't go as badly as I thought it might vs. the offense of the Cubs, but it didn't go as well as it needed to. Struggling to get runners in was the main factor, considering Detroit had more overall hits than Chicago, just looking at the stats you'd think they'd've won.
Decision: Detroit Wins
And so it ends, this great day of baseball, with quite a few of my potential picks coming through, but my main ones were not as lucky. An overall 3 and 2 on the day brings me up to an even 6 - 6, .500 prediction. This is not where I want to be, and I know even the pros only get .550 - .675 but I'd really like to be somewhere around .700 with great intuition and insight I should be able to get there.
