Another one for the books.

Well, yesterday didn't go to well. Plain and simple.

It's tough to call games when all the teams are winning by 1 run, or pitchers having the best game of the season. But enough with the excuses, on to the results.

Milwaukee @ Florida - MILWAUKEE to WIN
Milwaukee managed the win, but didn't manage to do it by more than 1. Leaving the Run Line out to dry.
Decision: Milwaukee by 1

Washington @ Arizona - WASHINGTON to WIN
Joe Saunders, what can I say about Joe Saunders... Well against Washington last night he did fabulous, unfortunately that's not what he's done before and threw the game off. Letting only 2 hits in 7 innings would put this at his most impressive performance for the year and a well deserved W to his record. Seeing as every other game he's played this season except for against NYM he's had almost as many or as many hits as he's pitched innings, this was definitely the deciding factor against my pick.
Decision: Arizona WINS

Detroit @ Chicago White Sox - DETROIT to WIN
Thank goodness for a great relief pitcher. Jose Valverde closed out the day against Chicago White Sox to keep the lead at 2. Before that, Detroit pretty much just used brute force to win by just outhitting Chicago.
Decision: Detroit WINS

LONG SHOT of The Day
---------------------
Chicago Cubs @ St. Louis - CHICAGO CUBS to WIN
I knew it was a long shot when I called it, but it almost worked. With both teams having high LOB and in scoring position numbers, it really could have gone either way. At the end of the day it was a long shot and it came closer than most long shot calls do. But close is only good in horse shoes and hand grenades.
Decision: St. Louis WINS

So there you have it, adding 3 more to the missed calls side of the hash mark, and only 1 to the good side, hopefully something begins to happen, just a little magic is all I need and we'll be back on track. Who's to say today is not that day right?

Thanks for reading.
